disappointed feeling

yesterday, my worker worked on adjusted steel platform that quite huge. they put the wood to adjust same level. I watched their work few time then about 40 minutes before back time. One of my worker crying and shown to me his hand. His hand quite swollen little bit. Me and my colleague immediately put the hot "oil" on his hand and rub. I asked the other worker, what's happens? they said about the work, the platform slipped and fall on his hand while trying to put wood inside.

then we gaves him the cream and panadol to eat. I do not think bad think will happens but i truly disappointed at the moment like that, before end of day. incident happens and its feel terrible when i am the safety responsible for the worker.

at night, my engineer called me that he want to do the report but i suggested better to see how his hand by tomorrow. if still in pain, then we will bring him to hospital to x-ray any fracture. In my thought, we sure kena f by bos if they knew about the incident.

on the next day, i meet the worker and asked how his hand. he said okay already. my god..i feel relieved now..i can't imagine if his hand got fracture, then got cement and unable to work about 2-3 weeks.. one day their salary is around rm45. times 10 days minimum , they could lost rm450. and no money to send for their family at bangladesh.

Now, it's gives me motivation to do well as safety and health practitioner to take care the worker no matter what.
